Alshon Jeffery Embraces Villain Role By Firing a Shot at Chicago

-

With the week half over it felt like the looming playoff game between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles was lacking something. An extra bit of bite to let everybody know it’s for real now. What better way to do it than somebody stepping into the true role of villain, or a**hole depending on opinion. It seems the man to step forward for that was none other than Alshon Jeffery.

Everybody knows the story by now. Jeffery had a great run for a couple of years in 2013 and 2014 for the Bears. He even went to a Pro Bowl. However, he became unhappy with the new administration under Ryan Pace and John Fox and so bided his time and left for free agency in 2017. From there he joined the Eagles and helped them win the Super Bowl.

Of course not before beating the Bears that season in a 31-3 thumping. So he got what he wanted. Unfortunately, it seems that wasn’t enough. When asked about his time in Chicago compared to his new surroundings in Philadelphia, he couldn’t resist firing a shot.

That’s pretty hot stuff and honestly not that surprising. Jeffery never seemed that happy in Chicago despite the team helping him to realize his full potential. He still hasn’t had as good a season with the Eagles as he had with the Bears despite the championship run. Rest assured these words will get back to not only the fans but players on the Bears roster.

All season long they’ve embraced the city like never before. So to see a former member of their ilk insulting it despite taking millions of their dollars? No sir, that will not stand.
