Guys, I’m not joking, you have go watch and listen to this Tommy La Stella interview. I’m only going to share a few of my favorite parts, but that doesn’t come close to doing it justice in what is a must-watch for Cubs fans, baseball fans and hell anyone in general.
La Stella joined the Fitness Break Room Podcast in January, but the episode wasn’t published until a few days ago and boy was it spectacular. La Stella talked with host Samual Pogue and discussed everything about his life.
Here’s just a glimpse of how candid La Stella was, talking about what got him back into the game of baseball, learning about himself and buying into the team concept.
Just a heads up, there is some NSFW language in these clips and throughout the entire interview.
He gave background about feeling he was done with baseball in 2015, his first season with the Cubs, as he spent the majority of the year injured. Just great in-depth stuff from La Stella.
By the way, ever wonder why you don’t see La Stella on social media? Here’s your answer.
Tommy got deep in the nearly 90-minute interview, but again it is well worth your time.
He also talked about how Joe Maddon is one of the main influences in his life and how the Cubs manager helped La Stella gain a different perspective.
And Maddon’s mentality has definitely spread throughout the Cubs clubhouse, building a new culture since 2015.

There was also this funny story about how La Stella got back into baseball. He said he lost interest during high school and wanted to take a step back, but all it took to get him back was working at Applebee’s for five minutes.
So here it is, the full interview of Tommy La Stella on the Fitness Break Room Podcast.
Awesome stuff from La Stella.
