Kyle Schwarber’s been unfairly tagged as a buffoon playing in left field. He had an embarrassing game in the 2015 NLCS against the New York Mets and ever since then no one can take Schwarber seriously in the field. Well damnit, he’s not that bad and that’s all the Chicago Cubs need him to be in left field.
Yes, ideally the Cubs would have a better defensive player in left, but let’s not pretend Schwarber is completely helpless either. Really, I just wanted to share this leaping catch he made on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners.
