Despicable Dodgers Fans Boo Cubs Pitcher Porter Hodge in Midst of Health Scare

-

Somewhat lost in Tuesday night’s 6-3 Cubs win that ended on Pete Crow-Armstrong’s home-run robbing catch was that Dodgers fans were relentlessly booing closer Porter Hodge in the midst of a health scare in the ninth inning.

Hodge was having issues controlling his heart rate with two outs in the ninth inning as the Cubs were one out away from completing their comeback win over the Dodgers. There was a runner on base and left-handed hitter Max Muncy was at the plate, when Hodge stepped off the rubber, motioned for Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya to come out to the mound and then Craig Counsell came out along with the team’s head trainer.

The scary part about this is that this isn’t the first time Hodge has had issues with his heart rate while on the mound this season with the Cubs. That’s definitely concerning.

Meanwhile, jackass Dodgers fans were booing as Hodge and they didn’t stop even after the pitcher went down to a knee behind the mound to get his heart rate normalized.

Hodge was able to get back on the mound and thanks to PCA’s great catch the Cubs won 6-3.
