DJ Moore Found Savage Way To Silence A Heckling Lions Fan

-

One of the prices of playing professional sports as an athlete is dealing with unruly fans. There will always be ones who aren’t afraid to be extra vocal. They’ll talk trash, hurl insults, and do everything in their power to get under the skin of opposing players. It was no different for the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Detroit. However, one particular fan was causing problems because he happened to be positioned directly behind their bench. He would not relent from the moment the game started. It didn’t take long for DJ Moore to get tired of it.

The star Bears receiver has never come across as outspoken. He prefers to let his play do the talking. However, the belies the reality. Moore isn’t afraid to clap back when warranted. This Lions fan got annoying to such an extent that the receiver decided to give him a present. After Moore scored a 39-yard touchdown to put the Bears ahead 20-14, he called out to the fan with a gift. He took the football from that score and wrote, “SHUT UP” on it, then signed his name before giving it to the man.

Equanimeous St. Brown told the story on The 33rd Team podcast with his brother Amon-Ra.

DJ Moore continues to be a terrific addition.

What he does on the field alone has made the trade to acquire him one of the best the Bears have made in years. He should remain a fixture for them over the next several seasons. The fact he’s just as great at clapping back on annoying fans is merely a bonus. It’s no wonder teammates love him so much. The dude has a great sense of humor on top of everything else. One can only hope the organization gets to a point where they can help finally have a winning season. He never got to enjoy that experience in Carolina.

The Bears will have a chance to finish what they failed to on Sunday. Detroit will visit Chicago in a few weeks at Soldier Field. DJ Moore already had one good game against them. This time he will have plenty of Bears fans backing him up. The team already knows it can hang with the Lions. It is merely about playing a full 60 minutes this time around. That, more than anything, will shut guys like this fan up.
