The Cubs were just a little late getting to Dylan Cease’s high 90s fastball in the first couple innings Friday night, but Kyle Schwarber was finally able to square one up and launched an opposite-field homer in the second inning.
Schwarber’s 11th home run of the season gave the Cubs a 1-0 lead.
