-

Now this, this is juicy.

We all know the White Sox are trying to trade for a starting pitcher. They’ve already been linked to Lance Lynn, Dylan Bundy and Robbie Ray among others. But things are starting to really heat up as they’re reportedly in trade talks with a division rival.

Not only a division rival, but the current first place Indians!

Bob Nightengale was the first to report that the White Sox and Indians are in talks regarding right-handed starter Mike Clevinger.

That was followed up with Ken Rosenthal confirming the discussions between both AL Central teams for Clevinger.

Clevinger, 29, is still under team control through the 2022 season.

The right-hander has a career 3.20 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 101 total appearances with Cleveland that includes 88 starts. In 2019, Clevinger went 13-4, with a 2.71 ERA in 21 starts.

The MLB trade deadline is at 3 p.m. CST Monday.
