VIDEO: White Sox Prospect Nick Madrigal Leaves Game After Ball Hits His Head

-

White Sox prospect Nick Madrigal came into play second base during Monday’s spring training game against the Reds, but his afternoon was cut short after a ground ball deflected off his head.

The hot smash to second looked like it took a late hop and got a good piece of Madrigal’s head. He was able to walk off under his own power and hopefully it’s only something minor, but obviously the White Sox are going to take the cautious route here in spring training.

We’ll keep you updated on Madrigal’s status.

The White Sox said Madrigal has a bruise above his left eyebrow and more importantly he’s not showing any signs of a concussion.
