The wind is blowing out at Wrigley Field today, but I don’t think Willson Contreras needed much assistance on both of his mammoth home runs against the Pirates.
His first home run came in the first inning, when the Cubs responded with five runs after the Pirates scored four in the top half. Contreras blasted one to left, cutting the lead down to one.
Then in the third inning after making a great defensive play, Contreras nailed another home run. This one to dead center field.
Both home runs traveled more than 450 feet, making Contreras the first player to have a multi-HR game with both going at least 450 feet this season.
