The Cubs Have A New Reliever, Send Lefty To Injured List

-

The Cubs have now made the move official, as righty Rowan Wick has been promoted from Triple-A Iowa.

The 26-year-old pitcher posted an Instagram live story from Wrigley Field this afternoon.

Wick will be taking Xavier Cedeno’s spot in the bullpen, as the veteran lefty is headed to the injured list.

The Cubs traded for Wick last November, sending third baseman Jason Vosler to the Padres. Wick has a 2.84 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in 19 innings at Triple-A Iowa so far this season.
