I was at O’Hare, getting ready for my flight Sunday night, when all of a sudden everyone was freaking out about Scott Boras saying he and Bryce Harper already knew the team he was signing with.
That happened during an interview on the YES Network.
Will Scott Boras reveal where his client Bryce Harper plans on signing this offseason? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/mlyPzsynqT

Meanwhile, I panicked for a split second, waiting at my gate and then remembered, oh yeah, it’s Scott fucking Boras, so none of this actually means anything.
Anyway, here’s really all you need to know about Bryce Harper’s current free agent status.
Guys. Boras was kidding. I even checked on it for you just in case. He was kidding. Look. Beyond. Headlines.

That’s Nationals’ beat reporter Chelsea Janes checking in to quickly temper the fire about Harper.
From MLB Trade Rumors.
Anything else would’ve been a major surprise, as the 26-year-old Harper won’t even be allowed to discuss money with anyone but the Nationals until five days after the end of the World Series.
So, really the only team that a deal could be done with is the Nationals and well, there hasn’t been any indication that Harper will re-sign with Washington.
But hey, it was still fun watching people freak out over Scott Boras doing exactly what he wanted you to do. I mean, how stupid would it be for Boras to not even drag this process out a little to squeeze out a couple more million bucks from whatever team decides to sign Bryce.
It’s just all for show because c’mon, we know Bryce is signing with the Cubs.
