The White Sox will look to add to their already talented farm system in the 2026 draft, and they certainly have the capital to do so. With the first pick and tons of money to work with, the White Sox have positioned themselves to be one of the biggest winners of the draft.
Follow along as we cover the White Sox selections on the first day of the draft, as they will make five picks, with three of them coming in the first 41 picks.
First Round, No. 1 Overall: Roch Cholowsky
This was always the pick. The White Sox won the Roch lottery and he will soon be the face of the franchise.
This past year at UCLA, Cholowsky hit .320 with a .452 OBP. He added 21 homeruns and 60 RBIs. While this wasn’t quite as good as his 2025 season, these are still very impressive numbers. He had a 1.088 OPS and a 1:1 strikeout to walk ratio. That puts him in elite company.

I imagine that the White Sox will send Cholowsky to High-A Winston-Salem in a few weeks to get him quickly moving through the system. If all goes well, Cholowsky will be contributing before the all-star break during the 2027 season.
According to Joe Doyle, the signing bonus will be north of 10 million dollars, which will be the highest signing bonus of all time.
