Rick Hahn Hinting Dane Dunning Will Make His Debut Wednesday

-

After seeing Drew Anderson and Bernardo Flores get called up to help with White Sox pitching (if you can call it help), it sounds like Dane Dunning is finally going to make his anticipated MLB debut Wednesday.

While it’s not yet a certain thing that Dunning will be pitching Wednesday, he is the most logical choice. He has the highest floor of any Sox starting pitcher prospect due to his ability to command all of his pitches. He won’t overwhelm anyone with his stuff, but he can be a rock solid middle rotation arm.

With Carlos Rodon and Reynaldo Lopez currently rehabbing arm issues, Dunning is a guy who can not only come up, but stay up should he find early success.

Another potential starter for Wednesday is Flores. He was called up over the weekend as an extra arm due to the double-header with the Cardinals, but he never entered either game to pitch.
