The Chicago Cubs off-season has been nothing but pure entertainment. Everyday there seems to be a new rumor or trade scenario revolving around the team which makes it almost impossible to keep up with them all. However today, Cubs fans get to worry just a tad bit less. A story from 670 The Score’s very own Bruce Levine seems to indicate Kris Bryant wants to be a Cub for life.
“Despite uncertainty over his future, Bryant would like to stay with the Cubs for his entire career, sources in his camp have told 670 The Score. Of course, the catch is he wants his fair value, and his price tag will be hefty. The sides have had talks about a long-term extension at various times over the past three years.”
Even though Bryant’s contract situation isn’t likely to be resolved anytime soon, it’s always good to hear that deep down, the former MVP would like to to be a Cub for his entire career. I believe I speak for all Cubs fans when I say we wouldn’t want to see Bryant in any other uniform, than a Cubs. That being said, who know’s what the future holds between the front office and Bryant. Unfortunately, the only thing we can do right now is simply sit back and watch as everything plays out.
