Giannis Wants Out Of Milwaukee: Here’s What Chicago’s Offer Will Look Like

-

The Chicago Bulls have been in familiar territory over the past few weeks. After a blazing 6-1 start to the year that surprised everyone, they quickly reverted to the same product seen over the previous three seasons. Over their last 13 outings, they are 3-10, and have surrendered over 120 points in 12 of them. Two All-Star talents thrown in trade rumors early, Anthony Davis and LaMelo Ball, were both linked to the Bulls immediately. After the rough stretch and glaring weaknesses showing, a shakeup will be needed if they’re going to reroute the season into a successful one. The latest superstar rumored to be on the move, Giannis Antetokounmpo, is similarly being linked to the Windy City. This is the best offer that Arturas Karnisovas and company can offer to change the entire franchise’s trajectory.

Sell The Farm For Giannis

The Greek Freak is a generational talent. He’s one of the best players in the league, an NBA champion and Finals MVP, a nine-time All-Star, a two-time league MVP, and a surefire Hall of Fame talent. At only 30 years old, he still has a handful of productive seasons ahead that’ll push any organization to instant contention. After three consecutive first-round exits in the postseason and a mediocre start to the 2025-26 campaign, it seems he’s ready to explore other options. In defense of Milwaukee, it’s mostly been due to constant injuries and, unfortunately, not being at full strength when the playoffs arrive. They’ve been aggressive for the majority of his tenure in bringing in talent and building a win-now roster.

It was rumored that Antetokounmpo wanted to be dealt before this season began. He has been disgruntled with Milwaukee’s lack of playoff success for several years, and his elite contributions are being wasted if the team is not consistently making an NBA Finals run. The rarity of calling for such a meeting shows that his wearing a new set of threads before the trade deadline is not only possible, but likely, if things don’t improve rapidly.

Chicago’s Potential Trade Package

Truthfully, there’s a very slim chance the Chicago Bulls have a legitimate shot to land one of the league’s most dominant players. Although his skills would fit perfectly alongside the young core the Bulls possess, especially with a guard-heavy roster and a stretch-five center, they’re genuinely not at the stage of contention that Antetokounmpo seemingly desires. The best thing the Bulls can offer in a deal is all of their future draft picks, several young talents, and hope that the Bucks undergo a complete rebuild.

It will take a haul larger than any the Bulls have ever offered up before for them to land the former NBA Finals MVP. They should send any young asset outside of Josh Giddey or Matas Buzelis that the Bucks ask for, including any future first-round draft picks.

Does Karnisovas try his second splash trade since arriving in Chicago, and right his wrongs of the Nikola Vucevic deal during his first years with the franchise?
