Bobby Portis Wanted To Get Paid, So The Bulls Shipped Him Away

-

It’s not often you see blogs/articles saying anything positive about the Chicago Bulls organization. The front office is looked at like a joke and unloyal to the players on their roster.

K.C Johnson tweeted out that the Bulls wanted to make it work with Bobby, but much like Jimmy Butler did, Bobby bet on himself, but it didn’t pay off. Bobby has battled injuries this year and only has appeared in 22 games. Though he does have career highs in PPG and RPG, the money he is asking for isn’t worth it for a 3rd big.

I will say one thing about the Bulls. It was nice to see them offer a nice sized contract to Bobby. It seemed the front office wanted to keep him around but the two were just too far apart on the money front.
With money tied up into the horrible unmovable contract that is Cristiano Felicio, it makes sense why the Bulls wouldn’t want to tie up more money on a big.
