Richard Panik Snipes A Silky Smooth Goal To Put Blackhawks Up 2-1

Richard Panik might’ve just scored the silkiest, smoothest and downright filthiest goal of the 2016-17 season for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Even more importantly, Panik gave the Hawks a 2-1 advantage over the Pittsburgh Penguins late in the second period of Wednesday night’s game.

The most sophisticated vocabulary won’t do this goal justice, you just have to watch for yourself as Panik deked through first Evgeni Malkin and then Carl Hagelin before ripping a shot perfectly placed past Marc-Andre Fleury’s blocker side.

Panik came up large and did so in style to put the Hawks ahead with just 24 seconds left in the period. Wednesday’s tilt at the United Center certainly has the feel of a Stanley Cup final preview.
