Andrei Altybarmakyan (No. 84)
Alexandre Fortin (2019) is the only player in Blackhawks history to wear No. 84.
Evan Barratt (No. 26)
Barratt would be the 19th player in Blackhawks’ history to wear No. 26 and the first since Stanley Cup champion Kyle Cumiskey (2015). Barratt wore No. 17 in college at Penn State, which is currently held by Dylan Strome.
Matej Chalupa (No. 67)
Chalupa would be the fourth Blackhawks’ player to wear No. 67 and the first since Jacob Nilsson in 2019. Michael Frolik wore it for the Hawks from 2010-2013.
Mattias Janmark (No. 13)
Janmark wore No. 13 in Dallas and will be the fourth Blackhawks’ player to wear it. Tomas Jurco last wore No. 13 for Chicago in 2018.
Wyatt Kalynuk (No. 48)
Kalynuk would become the fourth player in franchise history to wear No. 48 and the first since Bartlett native Vinnie Hinostroza (2016-18). Kalynuk wore No. 2 in college at the University of Wisconsin, which is obviously held by future Hall of Famer Duncan Keith at the moment.
Philipp Kurashev (No. 23)
Kurashev would become the 20th Blackhawk to wear No. 23 and the first since the Brandon Manning disaster in 2018. Kurashev wore No. 25 for the Rockford IceHogs last season.
Kevin Lankinen (No. 32)
Lankinen would be the 22nd player in franchise history to wear No. 32 and the first since Blackhawks LEGEND Michael Rozsival (2013-17). Lankinen previously wore No. 30 in the AHL, Liiga, and with the Finnish National Team.
Anton Lindholm (No. 54)
Lindholm would become the third Blackhawks’ player to wear No. 54 if he ever plays a game at the NHL level for them. Lindholm wore it for Colorado from 2016-20.
Ian Mitchell (No. 51)
Mitchell will become the fourth player to wear No. 51 and the first since Brian Campbell (2016-17). Mitchell wore No. 15 in college for the University of Denver, which is currently held by veteran Zack Smith.
Brad Morrison (No. 78)
Morrison likely will never reach the NHL with the Blackhawks, but if he does, he will become the first player in franchise history to wear No. 78. Good luck, Brad.
Cam Morrison (No. 45)
Morrison would become the sixth player in Blackhawks’ history to wear No. 45 and the first since Adam Berti (2008). Morrison previously wore No. 26 during his collegiate career at Notre Dame.
Brandon Pirri (No. 73)
Pirri wore No. 37 during his first stint with the Blackhawks and will flip it around to become the first player in franchise history to wear No. 73. Pirri wore No. 73 during his stints with the Florida Panthers (2013-16), New York Rangers (2016-17), and Vegas Golden Knights (2017-20).
Pius Suter (No. 24)
Suter will become the 14th Blackhawks’ player to wear No. 24 and the first since Dominik Kahun (AKA The Big Kahuna) in 2019. Suter wore No. 44 with Zurich in the NLA last season.
Michal Teply (No. 53)
Teply would become the fifth player in franchise history to wear No. 53 and the first since Brandon Mashinter (2016). Teply wore No. 71 for the Winnipeg Ice of the WHL in 2019-20, and No. 11 for the Czech Republic at the 2020 WJC.
Lucas Wallmark (No. 71)
Wallmark will become the first player in Blackhawks franchise history to wear No. 71.
Nikita Zadorov (No. 16)
Zadorov will become the 31st Blackhawk to wear No. 16 and the first since Marcus Kruger (2019). Zadorov wore No. 16 with the Colorado Avalanche after wearing Nos. 51 and 61 with the Buffalo Sabres.
