The Chicago Bears are the only ones who know for sure what they want to do in the upcoming NFL draft. Yet even they likely don’t have their board set. While the combine is over, pro days remain to attend. Not to mention the possible ways that free agency could impact their approach. So it’s still a bit early for people to make definitive predictions on who exactly they decide to take.
Yet that is what experts are doing. There are a number of mock drafts out there taking stabs at what the Bears will do. It’s interesting to see if there is any common thread between each one or if the views vary wildly. After scanning through the most recent examples, it’s nothing if not interesting.
Chicago Bears focus is certainly clear among experts
Not a lot of guys have released mock drafts that go beyond the 1st round at this point. Those that have though seem to hold steady to a clear trend for the most part. See if you can spot what that is.

Outside of Reuter, the focus on the Bears draft was almost exclusively on offense. Of the nine names listed above, seven of them play on the offensive side. Unsurprisingly the most popular choice was quarterback with Fromm and Hurts being listed multiple times. The same being the case for Kmet the tight end. Give where the team sits at both positions, this is expected.
Reuter’s take though is interesting. It feels like he goes with more of a best player available approach. Also the fact he spends on two defensive guys makes one assume he believes the Bears will do the bulk of their work in free agency on offense. Not a bad take if true.
