“This is the end, my only friend, the end.” So said Jim Morrison and so say I. This series was an interesting exercise, and my primary takeaway is that all four of my friends seem to believe this Bears team will be pretty good in 2025. I didn’t ask them to project a final record. Instead, I asked them to project the final standings for the NFC North. And here they are.
Executive: “Lions. Packers. Bears. Vikings. Chicago right there for a wildcard spot.”
Area Scout: “Bears. Packers. Lions. Vikings. I just have fewer questions about Chicago right now. I don’t think any of these teams are getting to 13-14 though.”
Pro Personnel Assistant: “Packers. Vikings. Bears. Lions. I think if Ben gets this team to 9-8 that will be a solid foundation for him to build on moving forward.”
Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.
Former Personnel (Now Media): “Best division in football. Hard to sort right now. Right now I have them all winning more than 8 and I’m not even sure that math works out. I’ll go Packers one. I’ll go Lions two. Bears three. Vikings four. It would surprise me if Kevin can win that division with a rookie quarterback. Nothing else would surprise me.”
@Krisanthony The best part of all this is it seems like being excited about the possibilities is such an improvement over most of the past few decades, and it’s a more legitimate optimism, versus just some highly unlikely, pie in the sky crap.
@Arnie, you make good points. Detroit has to prove that their assistants were ready to take over as coordinators. They have the talent and experience to still be taken seriously. I’m just trying to take everything in. The Bears have new systems to learn on both sides of ball and none of the other teams are hampered by that.

@Krisanthony I partially agree with what you’re saying, in the sense that proven track record does mean something, but at the same time, none of those other teams have won much of anything under the brightest lights. Then, if you look at talent, position by position, on the roster and the coaching staffs of each team, there’s not a lot that seperates them. The reality is, they’re all comparable, they’ve all gone through changes, some, really big changes, so I just think the division is even enough, you can’t really say one team is favored. You mentioned Minnesota and their… Read more »
@Arnie,you may be right but the Bears have a lot to prove before they’re considered on par with anyone in their division. I suspect Minny will take a step back with an essentially rookie QB. GB and Detroit have rosters that have won 13 games over the last few years. It’s a bit of a stretch to say that the Bears are even with them. Where I can see you being right is very similar to the last winning season in Nagys fist year. Things started to fall into place but the defense was so dominant that they won all… Read more »
