Everybody knows the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers rivalry runs deep and spans multiple generations. Gen X and millennials have endured difficult times over the past 30 years. That seems to have only deepened their hatred for the team up north, and it’s bleeding into the next generation. One father found that out the hard way. On the date of his daughter’s birthday, he decided to play a seemingly innocent prank on her. It involved TikTok, a carefully-wrapped gift, and a Packers jersey.
Most kids would react with variations of confusion. Not this girl. The moment she saw the colors, she got it away from her as if it might be radioactive. She was not happy.
She is a true example of Chicago Bears fandom.
That reaction is how you know she was raised right. Rage, disgust, and fear she might be infected by merely touching it. While the father may have gotten a laugh out of the whole ordeal, it’s a safe assumption he wasn’t on her good side for a long time after that. Some pranks go too far. Jokes aside, it is clear the next generation is already well on its way to carrying on the Packers-hating legacy. Now only if we can get them to feel a modicum of success after years of painful losses.
One thing is clear. The rivalry got started early this year. With the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers set for opening day. Justin Jones called Packer fans all sorts of nasty things. Preston Smith fired back at the Bears’ overall ineptitude. It’s June and the heat is already ramping up. One can imagine that poor girl has some revenge in mind once her father’s big day comes around. Hopefully, they shoot a video of that moment too. That or get her reaction when the Bears finally take Green Bay down at Soldier Field this September.
