VIDEO: Chicago Bulls Found The Perfect Way To Get Fans To Boo

-

Make no mistake. When it comes to Chicago sports? Fans are rarely exclusive to just one team. Chicago Bears fans are probably Chicago Bulls fans too. That is why Mitch Trubisky was relentlessly booed at the United Center when he first arrived. Also, don’t forget Justin Fields was cheered during a Chicago White Sox game. This city is loyal to all of its teams. That was never clearer than during the Bulls preseason finale against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Anybody who has attended basketball games knows that a big goal for the arena is to get fans to boo as loud as possible during free throws. This serves as a possible distraction to opponents. During playoff games? That is easy. Fans don’t need much encouragement. It is different in preseason games. With the Bulls trailing 38-30 in the 2nd quarter, the United Center tech people knew they needed some juice to get the fans going during a Memphis free throw.

They found the perfect catalyst.

Everybody in that building knows the Chicago Bears are getting ready to play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Blood is already in the water. What better way to fuel the fire than displaying that logo on the video board inside a Chicago Bulls building. Such an easy way to get people fired up. It certainly did the job. The Bulls came back to win 118-105, capping a perfect 4-0 preseason. Hopefully, that provides a little positive juju for the Bears as they prepare to take on the Packers.

It is a big game at Soldier Field. One that has first place in the division at stake. It might also be the last time Aaron Rodgers plays in that stadium. Given how much he has owned the Bears during his career, it would be a nice exclamation point to send him out with a loss.
