VIDEO: Bears Fan Sneaks “Fire Ryan Pace” Sign Onto WWE Smackdown

-

One of the things that have taken Chicago Bears fandom by storm over the past several weeks is the “Fire Matt Nagy” chant. As far back as their loss to the defending champion Buccaneers in Tampa Bay, people were heard chanting for it. Soon enough the movement picked up steam to such a degree that it even spread to other sporting events including Bulls and Blackhawks games. Even professional wrestling events. Well, it seems one enterprising fan wasn’t content with just Nagy. He wanted to call out Bears GM Ryan Pace too.

He certainly picked a big moment to do so. The nameless man got himself a front row seat for WWE Smackdown on Friday, December 17th in Chicago. During a particularly big segment where top superstar Roman Reigns fired his longtime manager Paul Heyman. Whenever the camera found him during the mayhem, the man would hold up a simple sheet of paper with the words “Fire Ryan Pace” on it.

Nothing fancy. Just straight to the point.

One has to love the single-minded ingenuity and dedication something like this takes. He’s got a front row seat to one of the hottest events in wrestling. He can literally hold up a sign of anything he wants. Rather than focus on harassing one of his least-favorite wrestlers, he used it instead as a platform to send the Bears a message. Ryan Pace has to go too. Nagy alone isn’t enough to fix this craptastic situation.

It sounds like George McCaskey might be ready to listen. Rumors persist the team chairman is researching possible GM candidates as the season winds down. This offers strong indications that Pace is out. Then again McCaskey has always pulled surprises in the past. So Bears fans aren’t likely to reduce the pressure until changes are made. This fans might be just the start.
