Two More Bears Defenders Admit Trubisky Toys With Them In Practice

-

Leonard Floyd caused a considerable stir recently when he talked about what the experiences have been like so far at Chicago Bears practices with #2 overall pick Mitch Trubisky. For those who aren’t caught up, here’s a quick recap. When he was the backup behind Mike Glennon he was assigned the job of scout team quarterback. It was his duty to simulate the offenses and quarterbacks of each upcoming opponent in order to give the defense looks.

Most of the time expectations are for the scout team to not take liberties and make the starters look bad. Sometimes though certain players ignore that unwritten rule. It seems Trubisky is one of those players. Floyd admits the young QB takes every opportunity he can get to beat the defense for a big play, and “does it with a smile on his face.”

To this point Floyd is the only one who provided details on what’s been happening behind the scenes. That changed when two more notable names spoke up to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times, confirming the story.
