Bears fans might have reason to celebrate now. Teven Jenkins, who suffered a leg injury and was put on injured reserve back on August 30th, was expected to miss the first four games of the regular season. The Bears are set to play their fourth game this Sunday against the Denver Broncos. However, they have a quick turnaround, with a Thursday Night Football game against the Washington Commanders. The good news is that Jenkins might be making his comeback against Washington, based on his latest Instagram post.
When Will Teven Jenkins Return?
For those who may not be familiar with Goku from Dragon Ball Z, this picture shows Goku inside a healing chamber, which is a device used to speed up the healing process. Many athletes share similar images when they’re recovering from injuries, usually when they’re nearing a comeback. It’s a quite popular post. In my view, Jenkins post suggests that he’s on track to return in week 5. The Chicago Bears could really use Jenkins back because they currently rank last in the NFL when it comes to run blocking, according to PFF. Last season, they finished 3rd best in the league. Jenkins should not only improve their run blocking but also contribute to an overall better performance in the passing game which should help bring consistency to the offensive line.
