Speedy WR Just Became A Potential Trade Target For The Bears

-

The Bears are in need of a WR that can replace the speed Taylor Gabriel brought to the team. Although many expect them to fill that hole via the 2020 draft, a potential trade target has recently emerged. According to Ian Rapoport, 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin has surfaced in trade talks around the league.

Goodwin was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the third round with the 78th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft. He is 29 years old and San Francisco would likely ship him for a decent price. Even though Goodwin has struggled with injury problems, a fresh start just might be what he needs to rejuvenate his career. If Ryan Pace can snag him for a 6th round pick, why not?

Alternative options might be a safer route

I do think the Bears should at least give SF a call. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean Pace has to make a deal. The 2020 draft is really deep at the WR position and it would make more sense for the Bears to go this route as it’s both the cheaper and safer move. Either way, it wouldn’t hurt for the Bears to explore every potential option.
