The Green Bay Packers are reportedly planning to release star cornerback Jaire Alexander, signaling the end of an era for one of the league’s top defensive backs.
Over his seven seasons in Green Bay, Alexander was a true menace on the field, earning two Second Team All-Pro selections and snagging 12 career interceptions.
However, Alexander was never a fan favorite among Packers rivals — particularly the Bears. Both players and fans alike often expressed their dislike for him. The bigger issue, though, has been his inability to stay healthy. Alexander has missed 20 of the Packers last 34 games, leaving the team well-versed in playing without him. Given his durability concerns, the Packers appear unwilling to pay top dollar for a player they can’t count on consistently.
Interestingly, Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III took a playful jab at the situation on Instagram. Commenting “Uh oh” on the NFL’s post about Alexander’s release, Burden hinted that Green Bay might struggle to cover him and the rest of Chicago’s playmakers this season. It’s a confident — and maybe even a bit cocky — remark, but fans are loving it. Now, it’s up to Burden and the Bears to prove it on the field.

Zulu Dawn!!
Send in the marines to protect Arlington Heights. Do not spare the tear gas, rubber bullets, and grenades. Live fire soon. Don’t worry, I will protect myself from knife attacks here in England.
If Barry, TGena, Tred, and I had been GM and A-GMs instead of Poles and Cunningham over the last three 3 3 3 years plus, the Bears would be in the Superbowl mix.
Please pray to your god for Greta Thunberg, a football fan.
