Yet another day brings forth new Justin Fields trade scenarios, this time by Chris Trapasso, an NFL Draft and player analyst at CBS Sports. According to this proposed trade, the Las Vegas Raiders are set to acquire the talented young quarterback. The terms of the deal are outlined as follows:
Raiders receive: Justin Fields, 2025 sixth-round pick
Bears receive: No. 77 overall (third-round pick), 2025 third-round pick (upgraded to a second-round pick if Fields plays 75% of the snaps and further upgraded to a first-round pick if the Raiders make the playoffs in 2025)
Can Chicago get even more for Justin Fields?
This offer appears promising, but Chicago has the potential to secure a more favorable deal. Realistically, the Raiders face tough odds of making the playoffs next season, having finished 8-9 in the competitive AFC West. Even with Justin Fields performing at his best, the upcoming season will be a challenge, competing against teams like the Chiefs led by Mahomes, the Chargers coached by Jim Harbough with Justin Herbert, and the Broncos, under HC Sean Payton and potentially a new QB.

Optimistically, the Bears might elevate the 2025 third-round pick to a second-round pick at best. However, it’s worth noting that Justin Fields, known for his rushing, has yet to complete a full season without injury. While hitting the 75% snaps mark is possible, it comes with risks for Chicago. Personally, I believe the Bears could secure, at the very least, a second-round pick without conditions and an additional third-round pick for Justin Fields.
GM Ryan Poles, should remain patient in this process. With free agency approaching in about a month, there remains a chance that a team might be willing to part with a first-round pick. It’s smart to wait and see which team might convince themselves that Justin Fields is the right guy, and then potentially offering a first-round pick if the Bears decide to move on from him this offseason and select a quarterback with the first overall pick.
Should the Chicago Bears build a super team around Justin Fields?
