Matthew Stafford Wikipedia Page Feels the Wrath of Bears Fans

-

Matthew Stafford had tortured Chicago Bears fans for years coming into 2018. At one point he’d beaten them nine times in 10 games. Losing to the Packers and Vikings was bad enough, but the Detroit Lions too? This had to be the year where things started to turn around. It got off to a great start in Chicago where the defense sacked him six times, intercepted him twice and forced a fumble.

Could they do anything for an encore in Detroit? Not for most of the game. While Stafford did struggle, he managed to avoid a ton of sacks or big mistakes. It looked like he had the game in his hands in the 4th quarter. A place he’s killed the Bears many times before in the past. Except this time it was a far different team he was facing.

Eddie Jackson intercepted him once and returned it for a touchdown. Then on the next series, Kyle Fuller picked him off in the end zone. It was one of the ugliest sequences Stafford has had in a long time and cost his team the game. Bears fans didn’t waste their opportunity, reminding everybody how much things have changed on his Wikipedia page.

Yeah, that’s a nice little dashing of insult onto injury. Given what Bears fans have had to take from Lions fans over the past five years? It’s all fair in love and war. One thing is clear. There’s no telling what will happen for Stafford in Detroit moving forward. The buzz on him has been lukewarm at best. Perhaps this could be one of the games that starts the ball rolling on him leaving.
