Dumbass Green Bay Packers CB Pranks Team Then Gets Suspended

-

Anybody who has followed the Green Bay Packers for the past few years knows the name Jaire Alexander. The former 1st round pick has become one of the better cornerbacks in the league. He had five interceptions last season. However, his 2023 has been largely forgettable. Not only has he missed several games with injuries, but he’s also having the worst season of his career. Quarterbacks have a 120.6 passer rating when targeting him. If that weren’t bad enough, the guy found a way to make it worse.

One thing about Alexander is he’s a classic diva. He loves stirring up trouble with his mouth. Things may have gone too far last week when the cornerback concocted one of the dumbest stunts in recent memory. Despite not being a team captain, Alexander went out to the coin toss against the Carolina Panthers. Not only that, he actually called the toss and almost screwed up when he deferred to the second half and elected to kick. That would’ve robbed the Packers of a possession in a game they barely ended up winning 33-30.

Head coach Matt Lafleur was furious with him, resulting in a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. When asked about it, Alexander merely said the coach should’ve remembered he’s from North Carolina.

The Green Bay Packers sound fed up with Alexander.

While he is a good player, his antics appear to be reaching a point where it is no longer worth keeping him around. He’s the highest-paid cornerback in the league. Lafleur said the suspension wasn’t just for the coin toss stunt but for a culmination of other issues that had been building for some time. Throw in his rough season and one must wonder if the Packers are thinking about moving on in the near future. Alexander will cost more than $24 million against the cap next year.

None of this is surprising to fans outside Wisconsin. Alexander has always been a clown. It was only a matter of time before his antics caught up to him. The Green Bay Packers knew the risk they were taking when they drafted him. It appears that personality is finally wearing them out. They were willing to live with it as long as he kept making plays. He’s not doing that anymore. He’s been all bark and no bite. It would be poetic if the last memory of him before leaving town is a suspension for calling a coin toss.

Ol Tommy Tuckit is back defending his cheese curds, with caps no less 🤣🤣. Him must be BIG MAD, since there’s no news of his Cinderella fantasy with Caleb Williams.

I think deep down you want us to pick him so you can feel better about Jordan Love, or fear that JF1 is two games away from making some quiche in cheese land..

Lambert catches a lot of shit, some of it is justified. But, when he writes an article that starts out, “Dumbass Green Bay Packers” well, you get points in my book pal.

Dorky Erik Lambert continuing his obsession with all things Green Bay Packers on a Chicago Bears website. Also, you got it wrong: Alexander’s mistake was not that he deferred the choice to the 2nd half, that wouldve been the correct move. What he did was NOT defer the choice, he CHOSE to go on defense right then and there, and that was his mistake because that meant Carolina would get to choose at the 2nd half, and obviously they would choose to get the ball, so that would mean Carolina would get the ball at the start of each half.

How do we get rid of these spammers vandalizing the comment section. You got rid of them for a while and now they are back. Maybe you could ask Windy City Gridiron or Da Bears Blog how they do it? I’ve never seen a spam comment on either site for several years.
