Chicago Bears Hit With Setback Ahead of Raiders Game

-

The Chicago Bears head into Week 4 against the Raiders banged up, and the injury report isn’t pretty. Several starters are already ruled out, and a few more are game-time decisions. Here’s where things stand after Friday’s update.

Out for Sunday

LB T.J. Edwards (hamstring): The tackling machine couldn’t get on the field all week. Huge loss for the front seven.

DL Grady Jarrett (knee): Same story. No practice, no chance. Chicago will miss his presence in the pass rush.

OT Darnell Wright (elbow): Didn’t practice all week and is officially out. That’s a big blow to the offensive line and could leave Caleb Williams more exposed to the Raiders edge pressure. Looking at you Maxx Crosby.

Questionable

DB Kyler Gordon (hamstring): His availability matters a lot in the slot, especially against short and underneath routes. It would be very nice to see Gordon make his season debut given the other injuries to the defense.

TE Colston Loveland (hip): Sat out early in the week but was limited Friday. He’s been a weapon Ben Johnson wants to use more and more.

RB D’Andre Swift (hip): Limited all week. If he can’t go, expect more touches for the backups. However, there is a drop off after Swift.

Good to Go

LB D’Marco Jackson (hamstring): Full practices across the board, no issues.

DB Jaylon Jones (hamstring): Limited early but finished the week full. He’s in.

TE Cole Kmet (groin): Started slow but closed the week full. He’s expected to play. This is huge if Loveland can’t get on the field Sunday.

@Sallie
We’ll see. Run or pass.
Meanwhile, leave me alone. I don’t want the bank guards to hear you talking about the Great Depression. It’s also depressing.

PP, banking policies during the Great Depression killed millions. Organized crime only killed in the thousands. Believe it.

Perhaps the Raiders will be so focused on Bears WRs, Bears RBs will be able to run wild. The Raiders’ defense is not good enough to shut both down including our TEs. Kmet should have a big game if Caleb decides to throw to him.

What I don’t understand, is that if D’Andre Swift is so bad, why doesn’t someone HERE, step up and run the rock? Sallie, you’re up!

OK, folks! I’m making $1M a month conning people out of their shirts. It’s much more difficult to con the poor people here, than conning billionaires, but I don’t believe in “distribution of wealth,” so lying to “po folks” is so much more politically correct than trying to steal from rich people. Unlike some people online here, I don’t limit myself to conning online, but I go to all kinds of business and industry and political conventions to lie, and con and steal, and then at the end of the week, I hit a bank or two to round out… Read more »
