Caleb Williams had an up-and-down rookie season, and he’s unlikely to win Offensive Rookie of the Year in a highly competitive class featuring Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, Brock Bowers, and others. The favorite to take home the award is Jayden Daniels.
However, Williams isn’t leaving his first NFL season empty-handed. The Bears rookie quarterback was named the Most Stylish Football Player, an award decided by football fans worldwide through voting on the GQ Sports Instagram page. He beat out 31 other players, including his teammate Jaylon Johnson, whom he faced in the Final Four.
Known for his big personality since his college days, Williams is already making an impact in the NFL—both on and off the field.

Caleb Williams is unapologetically himself.
Last year’s winner was Eagles WR DeVonta Smith, but Caleb Williams has now taken the crown. One thing about Williams—he will always stay true to himself, no matter what. While some fans and media have spun this as a negative, there’s no denying that he’s a star in his own right. Now, with the spotlight of playing in Chicago—one of the NFL’s biggest markets—his profile is only growing.
Imagine if Williams takes the next step under Ben Johnson in Year 2. His popularity will soar, and GQ awards will be just the beginning of his success.
I’m wearing my cheap Armani blue jeans that cost $130. My two-zipper black sweater cost $110. The Dr. Marten’s black boots were about $225 and socks $25. Now imagine if I were making Caleb’s money.
When a football player gets ink in GQ, it’s probably a lot like when a CEO gets on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
(For those who don’t get the reference, there’s a rather intense correlation between being on the 30 Under 30 list and being convicted of fraud.)
Oh for fuck’s sake
Time to flush everything away from last season. Yes, Caleb made a bunch of mistakes that resulted in Sacks. Don’t forget, he escaped 50 other sacks so the line and scheme played major roles in all the chaos he experienced. Despite all that, he still put up a respectable season in many ways. It’s too bad that he’ll be going into year two as essentially a rookie again, but that’s on the organization. It certainly looks like they could have made the Johnson move last year but they don’t fire coaches until last year of contract. Fluss was the exception.
@Bears57 – we both agree there needs to be a big step forward due to much better coaching. If Jared Goff could flourish under BJ, I expect Caleb should, too. I remember the time where the cameras caught him laying on the bench after another sack, and I can’t fault you for not liking it. I thought that the coaches really should have intervened there and told him that was basically showing “blood in the water” for the opposing defense. But either way, blame him, or the coaches, it was a bad look. Again, I’m really positive about this one… Read more »
