Caleb Williams Has a Message for Myles Garrett — And Browns Fans Won’t Like It

-

Caleb Williams isn’t shying away from the challenge waiting for him on Sunday at Soldier Field. With temperatures expected to feel like –20 degrees, Williams knows exactly who’s coming: Myles Garrett, the NFL’s most dominant pass rusher this season. Asked about Garrett’s push for the single-season sack record, Williams dropped a calm but pointed line:

“Gonna try and make sure he doesn’t get the sack record on us and on me.”

Garrett sits at 20 sacks, needing 3 more to break the NFL record of 22.5. With four games left, he’ll have chances — but Williams made it clear Chicago won’t be the team that lets him get the three sacks he needs.

And the Bears are built to back him up.

Chicago owns one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, a group that has excelled in both protection and run-game dominance. In freezing conditions, the Bears are expected to lean heavily on the ground attack. But the biggest advantage may come from head coachBen Johnson, who has already shown how he neutralizes elite pass rushers.

Just last week, Micah Parsons generated pressure but finished with zero sacks thanks to Johnson’s game plan and second half adjustments. Expect a similar approach against Garrett.

Combine that with Williams — arguably the best sack-avoidance quarterback in football — and the message is clear:

If Myles Garrett wants the record, he’s not getting it in Chicago.
