Bears Schedule Release Video Shows Genius DJ Moore Snipe At Carolina

-

The Chicago Bears have joined the rest of the NFL in making the schedule release way more fun than it has any right to be. It is done by their social media teams putting together creative videos for fans to enjoy. Last year, the Bears put out a bit with Charles Tillman and Spice Adams running a local restaurant where shenanigans ensue. This time around, they got a little more creative with a parody of the 1980s classic “The Breakfast Club.” DJ Moore played the central character as he encountered various students, each representing teams they would play on their schedule.

The entire video is a must-watch. Social media star and self-proclaimed Packers fan Annie Agar got detention. Adams played the hard-nosed principle. They even got a fun little dig at the XFL (now the UFL). However, the best moment had to be when Moore received a phone call. When he looked at the ID, it was from the Carolina Panthers. After pausing for a moment, Moore casually flipped it shut and didn’t answer. It was a brilliant nod to the unceremonious way he left that organization last year via the blockbuster trade to Chicago.

DJ Moore no doubt hopes for revenge.

While the Bears did beat the Panthers in their meeting last season, the wide receiver didn’t have the best game. He finished with five catches for 58 yards. He will undoubtedly aim to have a bigger impact in the rematch. It is a big year for Moore. He has never had the good fortune of playing on a playoff team in his career. This might be the best roster he’s been on as a pro. The Bears have a top defense, and now he will be flanked by legitimate playmakers like Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze.

If Caleb Williams is anything like the hyped prospect he was ahead of the draft, this team could surprise a lot of people. DJ Moore seems almost like the forgotten man after the new additions. Make no mistake. He will be a focal point of that offense. New offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has plenty of experience working with receivers of his type. It shouldn’t be an issue to get him the football, especially against his former team.

Subscribe to the BFR Youtube channel and ride shotgun with Dave and Ficky as they break down Bears football like nobody else.

The battle of generations: The Big Chill vs The Breakfast Club. The former was we, hip and shattering, while the latter me, odd, and boring. Same with the music. The necessary afflictions, injustices, as well as the reasons for revenge and types of redemption for younger people (i.e., high school/college) in these eras were the equivalent to being on different planets. Now, do Moore and Allen really seek revenge against their old teams? Hell, yes! How about Montgomery and Daniels?

I do have to correct this. That’s not a parody of ”The Breakfast Club.” It is a parody of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Beige jacket and all…

The word Genius doesn’t seem to carry as much weight as it used to, I guess?

6-11. Teams know they just got to get to 4Q and Eberfux will go prevent D and give up chunk play after chunk play.
