In the latest episode of the new Chicago Bears podcast called “The BFR Podcast” by Sports Mockery, Ficky and I got the opportunity to chat with Kyle Brandt, who is one of the hosts of “Good Morning Football.” We talked about a variety of topics like Bears training camp and the team’s new leadership. A highlight of the conversation was when Kyle shared an exciting update he received from Matt Eberflus at the start of training camp.
“He tells me that he and Poles and the whole coaching staff are going to wear Jordan 1’s on the sideline this year for games.”
The new leadership has brought a fresh burst of energy, not only to the team’s locker room but also to the entire Bears organization. Kyle also mentioned an interesting detail about how Eberflus handles rookie players and potential free agents.
“he does This thing in his office about how he has every single Bears hall of famer behind his desk.. when I bring in free agents and rookies I teach them about all these people behind them.”
You gotta love Eberflus for embracing the Chicago Bears rich history. Kyle also said that Flus gives them a quiz after the meeting to test their knowledge of the history, and the coolest part was that rookie right tackle Darnell Wright was the only player who remembered all of them. That’s a great way to begin your career on the right foot. No pun intended.
