Aaron Rodgers Couldn’t Resist Needling Bears When Asked If He’d Join Them

-

The Aaron Rodgers question isn’t likely to go away anytime soon. After the Green Bay Packers drafted Jordan Love in the 1st round back in April, the clock really began to tick on Rodgers’ time there. The future Hall of Famer even admitted that he is realizing that his career may end with another team.

Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football now hosts a podcast called “10 Things.” Rodgers was his very first guest. Being a big Chicago Bears fan, he couldn’t resist asking the QB the obvious question. If the opportunity were there, would he consider wearing navy blue and orange?

Rodgers, after some laughter, kind of danced around the question. Then he couldn’t resist delivering a pointed barb at the team with his remark.

“Oh man. That’s a tough spot right there man. You’ve been a Bears fan for awhile, man. I have a ton of respect for that organization, that fanbase. We’ve had some good times over there. Other than Dallas, playing in Dallas I feel like I’ve had almost as many big wins in Chicago.”

Aaron Rodgers and the Bears isn’t likely to happen

The idea itself is fun enough. It would be the Brett Favre situation all over again. He gets traded to another team. Spends year there, leaves and joins the Minnesota Vikings for a shot to get revenge on the Packers. People can definitely see Rodgers doing the same thing. The Bears look like the most obvious team to join given their fluid QB situation and the fact he seems to like playing in Chicago.

Truth be told though, the odds of it happening are exceedingly low. The Bears aren’t going to wait around for him to eventually become available. Rodgers also may not be the player he still is right now in another two seasons. There are way too many variables. This is nothing more than a what-if scenario that is worth discussing.
