A Surprising Trade Target Has Emerged For The Bears

-

The Chicago Bears’ defensive line has exceeded expectations so far. However, as they return from their bye week, they face a key decision on whether to make any moves before the trade deadline. One potential target is Browns defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson. According to Ian Rapoport, Jefferson’s name has come up in trade discussions, and the Bears could be among the interested teams. A former fifth-round pick, Jefferson has fallen out of the Browns’ rotation in their deep defensive end group. This season, he has recorded six pressures over 87 pass-rush attempts, including one sack, one quarterback hit, and four hurries.

Quinton Jefferson would add depth to the team without costing much.

The Bears have reportedly been looking to trade players like running back Khalil Herbert and right guard Nate Davis. As they enter the tougher part of their schedule, could they package a player to acquire a key piece? It’s certainly a possibility, as GM Ryan Poles has been very active at past trade deadlines. One name to keep an eye on as the deadline approaches is definitely Quinton Jefferson.

The previous season, Poles recognized that the WR core was weak – Robinson was regressing and Mooney, while playing pretty well, had limitations. In order to try and boost the WR core, Poles traded for Chase… Read more »
