3 Bold Predictions For Bears vs Panthers Game

-

The Chicago Bears are getting ready for a Thursday night matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Justin Fields remains sidelined due to a thumb injury, so rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent will continue to start. Despite the setback, here are my three bold predictions for the game.

DJ Moore goes for 200 yards

Let’s dub it the DJ Moore revenge game. It would be even sweeter with Justin Fields as the quarterback, but the Bears are up against a seriously depleted and weak Panthers defense. Looks like a winning formula to me.

Bears defense gets 3 turnovers

Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young has struggled with turnovers, experiencing two pick-sixes in a single game this season. However, the Bears defense, led by Matt Eberflus, has shown improvement. Additionally, Jaquan Brisker’s return from a concussion adds strength to the defense this week. With Montez Sweat having been present for more than a week now, this matchup has the potential to be a fun game on the defensive side.

Bears win by 10+ points

Picking the Bears to win might seem like taking the easy route, especially since they’re 3-point favorites. However, considering the factors I highlighted earlier, and the fact that they’re up against one of the worst teams in football, the Bears should snag a comfortable victory. Now, if by some twist of fate the Bears lose to the Panthers, Ryan Poles has to fire Matt Eberflus. He can promote Luke Getsy to head coach and then fire him too. Let another assistant take over. I am halfway joking here but if the Bears do lose changes should be made the next morning.
