The Chicago Bears have been making waves this offseason, and their aggressive approach in the first 48 hours of free agency has caught everyone’s attention — including other NFL players. Superstar wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown recently shared his thoughts on The St. Brown Podcast, which he hosts with his brother and former Bears receiver Equanimeous St. Brown. Amon-Ra couldn’t believe how active Chicago has been, especially since they hired his former offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson.
“I feel like the Bears have unlimited f***ing money. This shit is crazy”
It’s easy to see why he feels that way. The Bears entered free agency with a top-five amount of cap space, and GM Ryan Poles has wasted no time putting it to work. Chicago has been focused on building up the trenches, strengthening both the offensive and defensive lines. And they’re not done yet — the Bears are expected to explore contract extensions for key players like Kyler Gordon and will need to save some money for their upcoming draft class, which includes four picks in the top 75.
St. Brown isn’t wrong — the Bears are making serious moves, and it’s happening fast. As a Bears fan, it’s great to hear players and media members talking about how much the team has improved. But at the end of the day, the games still have to be played. Still, you’ve got to love seeing the Bears focusing on the trenches, especially when it comes to protecting their franchise quarterback, Caleb Williams.
