Five days from now the rumors will finally die. The first round of the 2024 draft will be upon us. Until then we must endure. Another prominent reporter (avoiding the term insider) has pushed another scenario.
In this instance, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, host of the Move The Sticks podcast suggests the Bears move up from the ninth spot to the sixth and take OT Joe Alt.
The reasoning is solid. Pairing Alt with Wright gives the Bears’ offensive line bookend tackles that could dominate for the next ten years, protecting Caleb Williams.
Critics are quick to argue passing up on either an elite WR or EDGE in the top ten in this year’s draft would do the team no favors.

It is unlikely a trade will happen before the draft starts Thursday. It will be interesting to see how the first five or six selections pan out. Ryan Poles has been masterful with trading assets during his first two drafts with the Bears.
Grab some popcorn and enjoy Thursday!!
