No matter which team Justin Fields is on for the upcoming season, his focus remains on a single goal. When asked about his aspirations for the next year during a recent episode of the St. Brown Brothers Podcast, Fields responded with one objective.
“I am not gonna lie, I gotta get in the playoffs.. I gotta get in the playoffs.”
In Justin’s initial three seasons, the Bears haven’t made it to the playoffs. Towards the end of last season, the Bears were still in contention and had an opportunity to secure a playoff spot if they won all their remaining games and received some help from other teams. Obviously, the team fell short and missed the playoffs. However, if the Bears decide to part ways with Fields, the Atlanta Falcons seem well-prepared to potentially make a playoff push, only needing a quarterback and possibly another wide receiver, as suggested by Justin. Fields commented on the possibility of joining Atlanta by saying this about his hometown team.
“Atlanta would be tough.. They have a lot of playmakers on the team. Bijan (Robinson). My boy Kyle (Pitts), and of course Drake (London) too. They got some guys over there.”
Chicago should prioritize finding the best trade for the team if they decide to trade Justin. However, it would also be a nice gesture to give him the opportunity to join a good team that aligns with his interests. Ultimately, Ryan Poles must do what’s best for the Chicago Bears. However, it would be great if both parties could benefit from a potential deal if it were to come to fruition.
