The midseason trade for Montez Sweat looks increasingly better every day for the Chicago Bears. They traded a second-round pick for Sweat, who has made NFL history by leading two franchises in sacks in the same season. His impact on the Bears defense is evident, and he has emerged as a respected leader in the locker room.
Sweat’s leadership also extends to social media, where he responded to legendary hall of fame tight end Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe, who’s been very successful in his post-NFL media career, listed several top wide receivers in a tweet. He concluded by asking the question of how many of these receivers they would take over DJ Moore. Sweat, without hesitation, expressed his clear support for DJ Moore and didn’t let any criticism of Moore go unchecked on the timeline.
Montez Sweat does have an argument
The NFC, and the NFL as a whole, has a deep roster of talented wide receivers. Despite this, one could argue that DJ Moore remains at the forefront when it comes to ranking the league’s best pass catchers.
