DJ Moore Made It Clear Who Should Be The Bears QB Next Season

-

Once again, the Chicago Bears left fans disappointed with a 20-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. This marks the third instance this season where the Bears lost a game despite being ahead by 10 or more points in the fourth quarter, leading the NFL and potentially setting a record for the most such losses in a single NFL season.

Justin Fields had a mixed performance, throwing for 166 yards and 1 touchdown. Although he had two interceptions on Hail Mary attempts, one wasn’t even caught and the other you could say should’ve ended in a touchdown for the Bears. Fields added 30 rushing yards on 7 attempts. Despite this effort, it did little to silence the doubters.

After the game, Marquee Bears asked DJ Moore about the quarterback discussion heading into the next season. Moore provided a very direct answer that might surprise some.

The Bears locker room believes in Justin Fields

Regardless of personal opinions, the Bears locker room continues to have confidence in Justin Fields. DJ Moore’s response to a question like this was not on accident; he could have opted for typical clichés given his experience with the media. However, he believes in what he said. He doesn’t believe USC QB Caleb Williams or North Carolina QB Drake Maye are better than Justin Fields.

If Ryan Poles decides to part ways with Justin, possibly through a trade in the upcoming offseason, it will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the team morale/locker room. Whether this factor alone is enough to deter the decision to draft a quarterback remains to be seen, but it is certainly a factor worth considering.
