The Chicago Bears 2023 season is about to start, and it’s expected to have many exciting moments along with quite a few surprises. ESPN just released a list of NFL Breakout Players for the upcoming year, and an unexpected player from the Chicago Bears, Safety Jaquan Brisker, is on the list. A staff writer from ESPN, Bill Barnwell, put Brisker in the “Starters to Pro Bowler” category. He explained why he chose Brisker for this tier.
“The hope is that he ends up looking something like Chicago’s version of Jamal Adams as a player who can use his instincts, timing and toughness to make game-changing plays. Brisker can be a cornerstone piece for Chicago as early as this season if he stays healthy.”
Jaquan Brisker Is Just Scratching The Surface
Do you all remember that amazing catch Brisker made when he intercepted the ball with just one hand from the Patriots’ quarterback Mac Jones? I definitely do.
It showed how skilled Brisker is and how good he is at making big plays. His instincts were on full display. He’s going into his second year, and with better players now on the defense, it’s not crazy to think he could become a really good safety, maybe even make it to that Pro Bowl level next season. It’s perfect that he’s learning from veteran teammate Eddie Jackson, who’s experienced and knows what it takes to play in an elite defense like the one in 2018, and how important it is to represent the Chicago Bears.
There were a couple of other players in the same category as Brisker, like safety Jalen Pitre from the Houston Texans and wide receiver Garrett Wilson from the New York Jets.
