The Chicago Bears had a chance to give their fans a nice little sendoff in an otherwise frustrating year. Instead what people got on Sunday night was watching a much better team doing what they do against one that is universally broken. Somehow the Bears offense found a way to top themselves for ineptitude with three points score for the second time at home in the same season. Mitch Trubisky threw for 158 yards and was useless. Special teams was no better with some brutally-timed penalties. All of this once again hung the defense out to dry and Khalil Mack is sick of it.
The star pass rusher couldn’t hold back his emotions after a 26-3 humiliation at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s a game where he played quite well with a sack, a tackle for a loss, and several pressures on Patrick Mahomes. Unfortunately, none of that mattered because there was no help to be found. No sense of urgency. It was a complete breakdown in all three phases and Bears fans were forced to watch it.
So when asked about it after the game, Mack didn’t mince words. He told the truth, shooting straight from the hip.
“To me, this was just embarrassing to us, embarrassed our fans. It’s unacceptable. The last one at home, you want to go out with a bang in front of the fans. This one is embarrassing.”
Khalil Mack is right and something needs to change
Mack isn’t stupid. He knows the situation this franchise is in. They have yet another top quality defense on their hands and once again they’re wasting it away because they have zero understanding of how to build an actual offense. They got the quarterback choice wrong and it appears they may have gotten the head coach to develop him wrong too. It’s a painful exercise this franchise has gone through too many times in the past 30 years.

Something has to change before next year. Otherwise it will happen all over again and Mack doesn’t want any part of that. He wants to win a Super Bowl but can’t do it without help.
