The Chicago Bears are just hammering the Buffalo Bills at the end of the first half, up 28-0. There have been plenty of memorable plays but perhaps the most entertaining came courtesy of wide receiver Anthony Miller. Early in the first quarter he made a nice catch along the sidelines before going out of bounds.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott was standing right there and he believes Miller was bobbling the ball as he stepped out. He proceeded to inform the referees of this. Miller heard what he had to say, and being the confident young man he is, wasn’t afraid to let McDermott know it with a demonstration of how he caught the ball.
Miller has been growing more and more vocal over the past couple weeks as he returned from his injured shoulder. He’s getting open more often than ever and producing lots of nice plays for Mitch Trubisky. It feels like only a matter of time before he becomes the true go-to guy in this Bears passing offense. No, that is not a joke.
He’s got that ability, he’s got that swag, and he has that desire. Chicago hasn’t seen a receiver like him in a long time. With all due respect to Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. Miller is a different breed. Not a giant. Not a speedster. Just good. Really good.
