Did Tom Brady Purposely Avoid Shaking Nick Foles’ Hand Again?

Tom Brady will go down in history as the greatest quarterback ever. He has all the accolades and rings to prove it. Yet people should be careful not to view him through rose-tinted glasses. The man does have a tendency to be a bit of a jerk at times. People can call it competitiveness or whatever, but it deserves mentioning. Especially given what he’s done to Nick Foles for the second time.

For those who don’t remember, here’s a quick recap. Back in February of 2018, Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles on an improbable Super Bowl run and stunned Brady’s Patriots 41-33. After the game, Brady went straight to the locker room rather than doing the classy thing and going out to shake hands.

Fast forward to Thursday night, Foles once again got the better of him in a wild 20-19 nailbiter. Once again Brady was seen trotting off the field while Foles was looking for him. Some will say it was just him being cautious after the latest COVID-19 scare between New England and Kansas City last week.

Truth be told, it feels more like sour grapes.

Tom Brady couldn’t even be bothered with a wave

Nobody is saying the guy actually had to shake Foles’ hand. Yet to not even going onto the field and say good game? Brady likely won’t get much flak from the media for this because he’s who he is. They’ll focus on the next game. A highly-anticipated clash with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

That doesn’t mean he should get away with it. Brady has enjoyed a lot of success in his career. He’s adored by everybody. It’s fine being a huge competitor, but one should expect an ambassador of the game like him to show more class in defeat. Even Michael Jordan shook hands after losing.
