How To Fit In Sports On A Skiing Vacation

-

Do you have a skiing trip planned on Super Bowl weekend? If so, you are going to be doing a lot of juggling with your schedule. Skiing trips are rare, especially for people who do not have quick access to a resort. Well, you could say the same thing about the Super Bowl since it only occurs once a year. So, how are you going to fit the Super Bowl into your skiing trip? Well, let’s start by saying it won’t be easy but possible. Below, you will discover a few tips to ensure you get to watch the game during your vacation.

Spread The News In Advance

According to an article posted on Forbes on February 5, 2018, Super Bowl LII was monitored more closely by women than men. If the study is correct, more women are watching the Super Bowl than ever before. With that said, your plans are to watch the game during your vacation. The first thing you should ask yourself does your partner like football. If so, you should have no issues fitting some game time into your vacation schedule. If not, you should expect to see a disgruntled partner.

The best way to fit the game into your vacation without causing strive is to tell everyone in advance. Let every member of your group know several weeks in advance that you are going to be watching the game. Some of the members may want to watch the game as well while others would rather stay on the slopes. The option is yours but by letting everyone know in advance, it should be no big surprise when you make yourself comfortable in front of the tube before kickoff.

Encourage Your Partner To Join You

As mentioned above, more women are tuning into the Super Bowl each year. If you happen to be in a relationship with a woman who enjoys watching football, you can count your lucky stars. With that said, it is always a good idea to include your partner. Let her know your plans in advance and ask her to join you. This will help ensure things go smoothly and you get to watch the game without dealing with an angry female.

Many women would gladly accept an offer to watch the Super Bowl with their partners. If she does not agree to join you, it would be a good idea to encourage her to plan something to do during the game. Encourage her to spend time with the other members of your travel group. If she has not interested in doing this, she can always get a massage or visit the resort bar until the game is over.

Throw A Super Bowl Party

Once you put your ski packs away for the day, you should have plenty of time to set up your cottage for a Super Bowl party. Who doesn’t love parties? Most everyone enjoys partying because it brings people together. Your idea is to watch the game. Well, that may not be the intention of the other members of your group. A party could help change these intentions. It may also encourage everyone to stay in for the night instead of venturing out on the town.

You can watch the game while everyone else mingles and munches down on the finger foods. Try to have a diverse snack food and beverage selection because you do not want someone to find any excuses to visit the local market.

Set Up A Big Screen TV

Depending on how many members are in your group, it may be necessary to upgrade the TV. Most five-star resorts have medium-sized TV in their guest rooms. This may be suitable for about six people but any more than that will call for an upgrade. You may be able to borrow a big-screen TV from the resort. If not, just bring your own. The TV does not need to be extremely large but it needs to provide everyone with a clear view of the game.

The Super Bowl is very important to football fans. Missing the game is just out of the question. Regardless of your plans during Super Bowl weekend, you will want to tune in.
