Hey! Remember that Tommy La Stella trade back in November that kind of didn’t make sense and well could actually not be a big deal anyway? Well, it’s now complete as the Angels are reportedly sending a left-handed pitcher to the Cubs to finish the trade.

Conor Lillis-White, 26, was selected in the 32nd round of the 2015 draft by the Angels. The lefty has a career 3.35 ERA in 190.2 innings down in the minors.
In 2018, Lillis-White split time at Double-A and Triple-A for the Angels, striking out 98 batters in 72 innings combined at the two stops.
He was really good against left-handed hitters at Triple-A this past season, holding them to a .179 batting average in 14.2 innings. So, maybe the Cubs bring him up at some point in 2019, in case of injury or just other relievers struggling.
The Cubs have acquired Minor League lefty Conor Lillis-White from Angels. He’s the player to be named to complete the Tommy La Stella swap. Lillis-White is not on the 40-man roster.

At worst, just more depth for the Cubs in the minors.
