New England Patriots fans are the worst. Don’t let anybody tell you different. The absolute worst. One would think they know how to act gracious and humble having been spoiled with almost 20 years of nonstop success courtesy of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Instead they keep finding new ways to sink to new lows each year.
They pull fire alarms in the dead of night to wake up an opposing team before a playoff game. They give the finger and throw beer on a player who just scored a touchdown. Now apparently they’ve added insulting the wife of an opposing player about her 10-month old baby.
Yeah, this happened. The wife of Chicago Bears long snapper Patrick Scales attended the game on Sunday like everybody else. She expected a fun day of football between two competitive teams. Then, as only they can, a Patriots fan made the atmosphere absolutely insufferable when she (yes SHE!) complained about her bringing her child to the game.
Look, we get it. Sometimes babies can be a distraction when you’re trying to sleep on a plane or concentrate on a football game but openly saying something to the mother is simply horse malarky. Either that woman is not a mother herself or she’s a mother who believes herself so superior she can feel free to criticize others about it.
Newsflash, lady. Nobody has that right. The woman wanted to enjoy a football game watching her husband play and didn’t want to leave the baby at home alone with a sitter. There’s nothing wrong with that. You may think she was ruining the game, but the fact is people like you ruin so much more than that.
